Many girls and boys were malnourished because their families couldn't grow enough food. Dirty water and a lack of toilets made kids sick. And without local health services, mums and children were dying. Today, that's all changed! Children are healthy and families are thriving.

You didn't just target the symptoms of poverty. You worked hand-in-hand with the people of Pirganj to tackle its root causes. You equipped parents to grow crops and start small businesses so they can feed their children and break free from poverty. New health services, nutrition training, toilets and school supplies mean more kids are reaching for their dreams. Thank you!

Nutrition

You've helped thousands of kids recover from malnutrition and empowered families to keep them healthy. They're growing nutritious fruit and vegetables, mums are breastfeeding, and stunting has almost halved.

Water

Thanks to you, families have clean water at home and whole villages are now open-defecation free. Your support brought safe toilets, hygiene education and dignity to children across Pirganj.

Healthcare

Pregnant women and new mums now have better local health support and prenatal healthcare. And with a skilled birth attendant now at almost every birth, the risk of death for babies and mums has fallen.

Shraboni was just 14 when her parents decided to marry her off. But she had other plans - dreams of education, nursing, and changing the world around her.

With the help of her sponsor and the child rights training she received, Shraboni found the courage to speak up and rewrite her future. From performing plays to leading her community, and now training as a nurse, she’s proving that one girl’s voice can spark powerful change.

You helped install 170 deep tubewells with 1,040 safe water points, reaching almost all children and families with clean water at home. And they know how to store and treat it so it's safe to drink.

Families are growing vegetables, giving them a wider variety of food to eat. 5,103 mothers learnt about child nutrition and how to cook nutritious meals. Fewer children are suffering from malnutrition!

More families are forging a pathway out of poverty and meeting their children's needs. More women are starting small businesses and nearly all families can save money, helping them to cope in emergencies.

With a skilled birth attendant now at almost every birth, deliveries are safer for babies and mums. New mums know they must eat well to give their babies a good start in life, and most are breastfeeding.

Preschools are getting kids ready to succeed in school. Thanks to you, schools have new classrooms, toilets and desks, and students have plenty of books and school supplies to help them learn and grow.

Kids are growing up in safer, more loving and nurturing homes where parents understand child rights and positive discipline. 92% of youth feel confident they can overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
