Pregnant women and mums now have better local health support and prenatal and postnatal healthcare. With skilled birth attendants now at every birth (up from just 15% in 2014), the risk of death has fallen.

New toilets and better hygiene mean children and families can protect themselves from water-related diseases at home and school. Every local school (19 in total) now has safe toilets and handwashing stations.

Extra teacher training means kids are reading with more understanding and doing better in maths. Their school libraries are stacked with books, and parents know how to help kids learn and grow at home, too.
When Angela from Silverdale became her sponsor, Nimol gained not only practical support but also a life-changing friendship through their letter exchanges. Encouraged by Angela’s words and later inspired by her visit, Nimol grew in confidence.
Now a youth club leader and thriving student, she dreams of becoming a teacher to help children as she was helped. Her father is proud of the transformation, saying the sponsorship gave Nimol the belief and hope to pursue her dreams.

Tola (right) is reading a storybook in his school library. You helped train 44 local librarians to bring school libraries up to standard and stocked them with books to help kids learn and love to read.
As a member of the local famers' co-op, Mrs Yoeurn was equipped with new skills and tools to grow more vegetables and earn more income. Thank you for helping her to keep her kids healthy and in school!
